Tottenham will be praying for a clean-sheet

Tottenham take on Liverpool this weekend knowing a clean-sheet looks to be vital if they are to get any points out of the game.

This is because Liverpool, having only dropped four points all season, having done so in two goalless draws. (against Villa away and Stoke at home)

Each time Liverpool have taken the lead this season they have won their matches – four times in total against Pompey, Chelsea, Everton and Sunderland.  They have also kept a clean-sheet themselves in all of these games.

Also, every time Liverpool’s opposition have managed to take the lead with the first goal, then the Scousers have come back to win each time as well – four times again, against Wigan, Man City, Man Utd and Middlesbrough.

So at the moment it looks as though if a goal goes in then Liverpool win!

On the other side of the coin, Tottenham have gained four of their six points this season when scoring the first goal of the match and have yet to lose from this position – however only managing this twice.

So if Spurs net first on Saturday, then something will have to give!!
