Greener's Midweek tips

Fulham v Burnley

Fulham have lost just one of their last nine home games.  At home this season they are yet to concede a goal in the opening 30 minutes and have conceded only two second half goals this includes none in the last nine.   Burnley still have the worst away record in the league with just the one point from their 12 games.  They have failed to score in nine of them and haven’t scored in their last five.  I recommend backing a Fulham win and also a small wager on Fulham 1-0.

Manchester City v Bolton Wanderers

City are still unbeaten at home having won eight and drawn other three.  They have led at half time in eight of those games and have gone on to way seven of them.  Bolton haven’t won any of their last seven away matches.  In this one I suggest a bet on Manchester City Half Time/Full Time.

Portsmouth v Sunderland

Portsmouth have won only three of their 11 home games.  Only five of those 11 games have produced over 2.5 goals.  Sunderland haven’t won any of their last 11 away games and have lost seven of their last eight.  Sunderland have conceded the first goal in nine of their 12 away games but in the three they have scored first, the goal was scored by Darren Bent.  I suggest two bets in this one.  First I will be backing the draw and I’ll have a small bet on Darren Bent scoring the first goal.

Wigan Athletic v Stoke City

Wigan have lost just two of their last eight games at the DW Stadium.  Only three of their 10 home games have produced three goals or more.  Stoke have won only one of their 11 away games.  Stoke are the lowest scorers on their travels with only four goals and they have managed only one in the first half.  Only two of their 11 aways have produced over 2.5 goals.  I recommend backing Under 2.5 goals.

Arsenal v Liverpool

Arsenal have won nine of their 12 games at the Emirates this season.  Liverpool have won only two of their last nine away games.  Four of Liverpool’s last five away games have been goalless at the break.  Arsenal are unbeaten in the last nine meetings between the sides in North London, you have to go back to Feb 2000 for the last Liverpool victory.  In this one I suggest backing an Arsenal win and also bets on Arsenal 2-0 and 2-1.

Aston Villa v Manchester United

Villa have lost only one of their last 11 home games.  In those 11 games they have conceded only five goals and no more than one in any of them.  United have won four of their last six away games.  Following their 1-0 win at Old Trafford, Villa will be trying to complete their first ever double over United since the Premier League was introduced.  If they are to do that they have to end a run of 13 games without a win over United at Villa Park.  I recommend a backing the draw in this one.

Blackburn Rovers v Hull City

Blackburn have lost only one of their last 11 games at Ewood Park this season.  Hull are yet to win away from home this season from 12 attempts. Hull haven’t scored in any first goals in their last eight away games.  In this one I recommend backing a Blackburn win, and also back Blackburn Half Time/Full Time.

Everton v Chelsea

Everton have lost just two of their 12 games at Goodison Park.  Those two defeats were at the hands of “Big Four” sides Arsenal and Liverpool.  Chelsea have won only one of their last five away games.  Chelsea are currently unbeaten in the last eight meetings between the sides at Goodison Park.  I recommend a bet on a Chelsea win.

West Ham United v Birmingham City

West Ham have won only three of their 11 home games this season.  Birmingham have lost just one of their last six away games, winning three of them.  Birmingham have managed to score in nine of their 11 away games, the only exceptions came at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge.  I’m going to stick with the form side and back a Birmingham win.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Tottenham Hotspur

Wolves have failed to score in four of their last six home matches.  Tottenham have won only two of their last 10 away games.  Only one of their last ten games overall have produced over 2.5 goals.  Only four of Wolves’ 12 home games have seen more than two goals.  In this one I recommend backing the Under 2.5 goals.

BANKER BET - Fulham to win.

NEXT BEST - Manchester City Half Time/Full Time.

TREBLE - Wigan/Stoke City Under 2.5 goals.
