Munster
· In the Pool stage Munster finished with the second best record 23 points, four fewer than Cardiff Blues but three more than Leinster
· In the Pool stages Munster came unstuck just once losing 25-19 at Clermont Auvergne back in December
· In the Quarter final they were comfortable home winners over the Ospreys, 43-9, their biggest win in the competition this season and the first time they had stopped the opposition scoring a try this season
· Ronan O’Gara is their leading point’s scorer with 80 points whilst in the try scoring department three players are on three, Paul Warwick, Barry Murphy and David Wallace
· That puts O’Gara in second placed behind Cardiff Blues full back Ben Blair in the top scorers list, nine points behind but with 17 has kicked the most penalty goals this season
· 11 of the players have started all seven matches in this season’s competition, with Doug Howlett and David Wallace playing every minute of every match
· Munster have used just five different Nationalities with 27 of the 33 players Irish, three New Zealanders and one each from Australia, Italy and South Africa
Leinster
· In the Pool stages Leinster lost two of their three away matches at Castres and London Wasps but picked up losing bonus points in them both
· Leinster have failed to score a try in their last three matches and relied on the boot of Contepomi to score all their points, six at harlequins and 12 against both Edinburgh and London Wasps
· There last try came 290 minutes ago when Jonathan Sexton went over at Castres in the 30th minute
· Argentine Felipe Contepomi is the leading points scorer for Leinster this season with 61 points in the Heineken Cup with 61 points
· Brian O’Driscoll leads the way for Leinster with four tries and three of them have come in the first half and just one in the second
· O’Driscoll is second in the try scorers list behind Ospreys’ Tommy Bowe
· 24 of the players they have used this season have been Irish and just seven have come from foreign shores, two each from Australia and South Africa and one each from Argentina, Fiji and New Zealand
· Eight of the Leinster players have played all seven matches
Magners League
· Munster top the Magners League by 10 points and are 11 points clear of third placed Leinster with 13 wins in 16 matches and just three defeats
When the sides met in the Magners league at the start of April Munster were 22-5 home winners over Leinster to complete the double having won 18-0 away back in late September
