Westcombe Park 8-26 Mounts Bay

Mounts Bay continue their revival with a third straight win and are now up to 11th in the league table.
The home side were first on the scoreboard when Gareth Hunter put over a 4th minute penalty goal but the lead only lasted two minutes. Back came the visitors with fly half Dan Hawkes going over for a penalty goal and he converted to go 7-3 ahead.
Hawkes added penalty goals on 10 and 20 minutes to move 13-0 ahead. Hawkes continued his excellent first half with a second try on 34 minutes which he converted to send Bay in 20-3 ahead.
Nine minutes into the second half and wing Lee Campion went over for Combe a penalty goal and drop goal form Hawkes moved Bay 26-8 ahead going into the final quarter. That though was the end of the scoring and Bay took the win as Combe slipped to a seven defeat of the season.
Waterloo 17-35 Redruth

Redruth are eight points clear at the top of the table after this away win at Waterloo and picked up their eighth try bonus point in 10 matches.
Paul Thirlby kicked the visitors ahead in the third minute but three minutes later and the home side were ahead. Winger Neil Kerfoot went over for a try and fly half Frank Lynch converted. Back came the visitors with a try from flanker James Mann and Thirlby converted for a 10-7 lead which was the way it was at half time with the last 28 minutes of the half scoreless.
Two tries in the opening five minutes of the half from wing Lewis Vinnicombe and full back Rob Thirlby saw the visitor’s move 20-7 ahead. Back came the home side with wing Matt Williams going over the Redruth line, Lynch converted and slotted a penalty goal to make it a three point match 20-17 after 58 minutes.
In the final quarter Redruth pulled away with Paul Thirlby and left wing Michael Georgiou touching down and Thirlby adding five points with the boot.
Southend 14-39 Birmingham Solihull

Birmingham Solihull Points: Try: A Clayton (6), C Mitchell (24), E Orgee (26), M Culpin (52), S Hunt (28). Pens: M Woodrow 2 (15, 45). Cons: M Woodrow 4 (6, 24, 26, 28).
Birmingham and Solihull are up into second placed after this away win at Southend running in five tries to take all five points on offer.
It took the visitors six minutes to get their first score as flanker Adam Clayton went over and fly half Mark Woodrow converted for 7-0.
Woodrow added a penalty goal on 15 minutes and nine minutes later was converting a try from centre Cameron Mitchell as they moved 17-0 ahead. Two tries in two minutes saw the try bonus point wrapped up by the 28th minute as lock Ed Orgee and Simon Hunt touched down, Woodrow converted them both and they were 31-0 ahead. Southend did get onto the scoreboard late in the half when centre Luke Sloane went over and scrum half Andy Holloway converted.
BS continued to add to their score in the 3rd quarter with Woodrow adding a second penalty goal and winger Mitchell Culpin getting the 5th and final try to make it 39-7 after 52 minutes.
Southend got the final score of the match with left wing Mark Billings touching down and replacement Simon Hoult converted on 69 minutes.
Hunt picked up this 11th try of the season and is joint top try scorer with Redruth’s Rob Thirlby.
Tynedale 49-15 Cambridge

Tynedale produced the result of the day with this emphatic win over second placed Cambridge out scoring them six tries to two as they pick up their sixth win of the season.
It was Cambridge who took the lead when centre Luke Fielden went over on two minutes and full back Ben Patston added a penalty goal a couple of minutes later for 8-0.
Six minutes later and the home side were on the scoreboard when centre Jack Harrison touched down and Rob Miller converted. Second row Andrew Murray moved the home side 12-7 ahead with an 18th minute score. A minute later and it was 19-8 ahead with winger Jack Smales going over and Miller converted. .
Three minutes later and Cambridge were over for a second try as centre James Shanahan touched down and Patston converted for 19-15.
Miller put over a penalty goal on 27 minutes and two tries from Smales and hooker Joe Graham, Miller converted both and the home side went in 36-15 ahead with the try bonus point already secured.
Harrison completed a double on 44 minutes and Miller converted before adding a penalty goal a few minutes later for 46-15.
Late in the match fly half Gavin Beasley sealed the match with a 76th minute penalty goal.
Blackheath 25-14 Blaydon

Blaydon Points: Try: A Fenby (27), S Riddell (59). Cons: A Baggett 2 (27, 59).
Blackheath join Blaydon on 26 points after this home win over the North East side.
It took 27 minutes for the opening score of the match when Blaydon’s prolific winger Andrew Fenby went over and Andrew Baggett converted for 7-0, it was his eighth try in his eighth appearance this season, and that was the half time score.
Four minutes into the second half and home wing Alex Page went over for an unconverted try. Four minutes later they were ahead as they were awarded a penalty try by the referee and Matt Leek converted for 12-7.
Four minutes later and their right wing Mark Odejobi, on loan from London Wasps, went over and the home side were 17-7 ahead. Just before the hour mark and the visitors were right back in it when flanker Scott Riddell touched down and Baggett converted to make it a three point game.
Home flanker Gareth Jones got the fourth home try to secure the try bonus point in the 66th minute before Leek wrapped up the win with a late penalty goal.
Launceston 38-10 Wharfedale

The Cornish All Blacks were comfortable home winners over Wharfedale taking all five points to close to within two points of third placed Cambridge.
Marc Dibble, a late replacement for the injured Ryan Westren bagged a double in the opening half hour to help his side go 12-3 ahead with Mark Bedworth putting over a penalty goal for the visitors.
Before half time they had a third try as replacement Sam Hocking went over in the 36th minute for a 17-3 lead which they took into the half time break.
Two minutes into the second half and Jon Fabian put over a penalty goal and five minutes later scrum half Ben Turner went for the bonus point try as they moved 25-3 ahead. No 8 Gavin Jones then went over the home try line for Wharfedale’s only try of the match and Bedworth converted.
The home side continued to add to their score as Fabian put over a penalty goal and then replacement Mike Provis dropped a goal to move the home side 31-10 ahead.
They wrapped up the match in the 80th minute when lock Scott Hobson went over and Fabian converted.
Cinderford 20-12 Stourbridge

Stourbridge Points: Pens: A Bressington 4 (18, 45, 49, 76).
Cinderford were home winners over Stourbridge to move up the table into sixth place.
It took the home side eight minutes to get on the scoreboard as centre Dewi Scourfield went over and Tim Stevenson converted for a 7-0 lead.
Ali Bressington pulled three points back for the visitors on 18 minutes, Stevenson added a penalty goal for the home side on 25 minutes and 10 minutes later he was converting a try from the other home centre Dave Knight to go in 17-3 ahead.
In the second half Bressington narrow the home lead to 17-12 by the 76th minute with three more penalty goals.
Stevenson sealed the win three minutes later for the home side with his 2nd penalty goal.
